Ear pain after rhinoplasty?
I had a tonsillectomy, deviated septum and rhinoplasty 15 days ago. I was told it was normal to have ear discomfort when I had the packing in my nose. The packing and cast have been removed from my nose. Is it normal that my right ear hurts. It hurts mostly when I swallow. A doctor checked my ears and said there was no sign of an ear infection. Is this normal and if so why does it happen?

I seem to remember my daughter\'s ENT telling her that she could have an earache from the tonsillectomy for a couple of weeks. If your doctor is saying everything is fine, then it probably is. Make sure you are taking your pain meds and drink plenty of water.
